Mummy's promotion

Mummy has received a letter yesterday - got promoted from Grade H Associate to Grade G Assistant Manager. But with NO increment as bosses said stock market is bad, have to wait for year end.
But mummy's entitlement for handphone benefits 1) purchase a handphone (max RM600, replacement by every 2 years), 2) Monthly handphone bill (can claim up to RM100 each month).

Mummy is happy with it as now doing more a regional role as Analec administrator. But if there's an increment for this time will be an icing on the cake. Am I greedy? Hehehe...

宝宝学礼貌用语由零开始

因为自己是一名幼教工作者，所以我一直都很关注女儿礼仪习惯的养成。其实，有心的家长可以在孩子牙牙学语时就开始教他一些简单的礼貌用语，比如“谢谢”、“对不起”、“请”、“再见”、“您好”等等。这不但能增进亲子关系，还能事半功倍地推动孩子各方面的健康发展。

　　宝宝初生，学语之启蒙

　　女儿出生后，家中常有亲朋好友前来探望。每当和客人告别时，我都反复在女儿耳朵边轻轻地说：“再见。”并教她用手的动作表示，为她以后开口说话打下基础。

　　还有一个比较常用且发音容易掌握的词语是“谢谢”，我总是边教女儿边配上两手作揖的动作，这样就更能加深她的印象。

　　女儿2岁，初步掌握期

　　女儿2岁时，有一次正兴高采烈地摆弄玩具，我一不留神，把她搭好的高楼大厦碰倒了。没等她反应过来，我连忙说：“宝宝，妈妈不小心碰倒了你的的积木，对不起！”紧接着，我又马上表扬她没有哭鼻子，然后说：“你看，走廊上可不是搭玩具的地方，差点让妈妈摔跟头了。宝宝应该和妈妈说什么？是‘对不起’，知道吗？”

　　看着孩子似懂非懂，却又认真地跟我说 “对不起”时，我意识到这样“趁热打铁”的教育方式还是很奏效的。爸爸妈妈如果做错了事情，应当坦诚地向孩子道歉，这样既可以弥补过失，也为孩子树立了知错就改的好榜样。平等的氛围有利于孩子的心理健康发展。

　　上幼儿园，学语高峰时

　　女儿上了幼儿园，与人接触的机会也渐渐增多了。每当家里有客人来访时，我会和客人事先‘串通’好，客人进门后，先说 “你好”，如果女儿也能回应说 “你好”，就适时地表扬她，让她懂得说礼貌用语能得到别人善意的回报，并认识到礼貌用语的重要性，也就此激发了女儿主动和人打招呼的愿望。

　　如果你的宝宝和我家女儿一样，性格比较内向，那就不妨让他学些简单的英语礼貌词汇吧，比如“hello”、“byebye”等。往往孩子在用英语表述后，会比说中文得到更多的赞赏，长此以往，孩子的自信心增强了，礼貌习惯也自然养成了。

　　此外，我还经常从童话故事中挑选有关文明礼貌的小章节，和女儿进行角色游戏，这样既提高了她认识事物的能力，又促进了她语言的发展。

家有小宝宝该怎样用空调

使用空调时要注意从细节处护理好宝宝，护理不当就容易让空调变成宝宝的健康威胁。总的原则是孩子睡觉时不出汗、不太凉、睡得安宁。

　　防痹症控制温度盖好被

　　有的父母怕孩子热，盛夏时节家里时时刻刻都开着空调，专家认为，这对孩子非常不利。汗液的排出本身就是身体的自净，通过这种方式可以排出毒素。另一方面，如果孩子整天呆在空调房中，导致毛孔收缩，排汗减少也会让孩子的汗腺发育不良，将来很难适应自然环境的变化。

　　白天尽量不要开空调，中午睡觉和晚上睡觉的时候可以开，但是温度不能太低，要控制在25℃～28℃之间。温度应该慢慢往下调，如设定28℃时如果孩子还是出汗，则可以下调到27℃，直到找到一个孩子舒适的温度。

　　晚上开空调时孩子一定要穿上长衣长裤，孩子的腿和腹部要盖条毛巾被。按照中医的观点，这样最容易让风、寒等外邪侵袭人体，闭阻经络，导致气血运行不畅。长此以往，将来孩子就可能出现“痹症”，即肌肉、筋骨、关节发生酸痛、麻木、屈伸不灵活或关节肿大等。

　　防感冒 醒前一小时关空调
　　由于小儿体温调节中枢和汗腺都未发育成熟，对内外温差的调节能力还不是很健全，因此就需要一个逐步适应的过程。当孩子醒来一个小时前关掉空调，可以让室内的温度逐渐与室外的温度一致，等孩子起床时室内外的温度差异已经不大，这能有效防止孩子患上各种呼吸道疾病。

　　由于房间存在温差，所以，孩子如果呆在空调房里，最好不要频繁将孩子抱进抱出(比如夜间让孩子上厕所、喝水等)，否则孩子容易因温度变化适应不良而患上感冒。

　　“另外，孩子一般入睡前易出汗，父母应在孩子的背上垫上毛巾，注意将汗擦干，等到孩子不出汗了父母再睡”，专家将此防感冒的“小贴士”概括为“让孩子比自己早睡一小时，让自己比孩子早醒一小时”。

宝宝睡态透露的健康信息

正常情况下，小儿睡眠应该是安静、舒坦，头部微汗，呼吸均匀无声，有时小脸蛋上可以出现各种表情。但是，当孩子患病时，睡眠就会出现异常的改变。

　　入睡后烦躁、啼哭、易惊醒、全身干涩、面红、呼吸粗糙急速、脉搏快，超过正常，这预示着发热即将来临。

　　入睡后撩衣蹬被，并伴有两颧及口唇发红、口渴喜饮，或手足心发热等症状，中医认为是阴虚肺热所致。

　　入睡后面朝下，屁股高抬，并伴有口舌溃疡、烦躁、惊恐不安等症状，这常常是小儿患各种急性热病后，余热未净所致。

　　入睡后翻来覆去，反复折腾，常伴有口臭气促、腹部胀满、口干、口唇发红、舌苔黄厚、大便干燥等症状，这是胃有宿食的缘故，治疗原则应以消食导滞为主。

　　睡眠时哭闹不停，时常摇头，用手抓耳，有时还伴有发烧，可能是患有外耳道炎、湿疹，或是患了中耳炎。

　　入睡后四肢抖动“一惊一乍”，则多是白天过于疲劳或精神受了过强的刺激(如惊吓)所引起。

　　入睡后用手去搔抓屁股，而肛门周围又见到白线头样小虫爬动，可见于蛲虫病。

　　熟睡时，特别是仰卧睡眠时，鼾声隆隆不止，张口呼吸，这是因为扁桃体肥大影响呼吸所致。

I love housework?!

Annabelle loves to carry bloom to swipe floor... we always teased her:"OK la, today kakak no need to swipe floor la... Annabelle does it", hehehe...

Annabelle 非常的貼身

Mummy forgot to write down this: Annabelle is 非常的貼身 & 黏 mummy (from 13-14 month old???). When we go out for shopping, she only wants mummy to carry her, even daddy, gonggong, popo, kakak wanna carry her, she won't allow, she is like a little koala bear hang on mummy body, if anyone carries her away, she cries. But if she doesnt see mummy around, she is ok with anyone.

P/S: Even popo or daddy help to carry mummy's handbag, she also made noise, and she could fight with u for the handbag, and the handbag must return back to mummy... hahaha, so funny la!

P/S: Of course mummy is more tiring when go out for shopping la as Annabelle doesnt like to sit on baby stroller, only like mummy to carry her.

P/S: When mummy's around, mummy wears car seat belt for her, kakak also would help her, she pushes away kakak's hands, only let mummy wear for her. But when mummy's not around, she's ok with kakak.

Daddy 常都是在一旁反白眼﹐一副“冇眼睇”的樣子, on the other hand, mummy 真的真的很享受他這種黏人的舉動, hahaha...

宝宝使用爽身粉应注意啥

夏天来了，很多家长喜欢给婴儿擦爽身粉， 但是爽身粉如果使用不当，会影响婴儿健康。爽身粉含有滑石粉，如果婴儿少量吸入，尚可由气管的自卫功能排除，若吸入过多，滑石粉会将气管表层的分泌物吸干，破坏气管纤毛的功能，甚至导致气管阻塞等严重后果。家长在使用爽身粉时应注意以下4点：

　　1、使用时，在远离婴儿的地方将适的爽身粉倒在手上，再慢慢涂抹在婴儿身上，别让爽身粉满天飞。

　　2、使用后，要及时将盒盖盖紧，妥善收藏，不要让婴儿当成玩具去玩。

　　3、不要让大一点的孩子模仿大人的做法去给婴儿扑撒爽身粉，以免发生意外。

　　4、给婴儿扑粉时，不宜用粉过多

Taman Bukit Jalil

Not to bring Annabelle to shopping Mall, we decided to go Taman Bukit Jalil. Bring her to natural park, let her breath some fresh air, touch some green grasses... she was so happy... esp. her collection - some leaves... she held them tight dont let anyone of us take them away. Hahaha... Can see from one of the photos.

Drawing pad

Finally mummy bought Annabelle a drawing pad, mummy just wanna let Annabelle to draw/write anything she likes... although it may still early for her... but who's care, as long as she can draw something eg. 1 line, few lines...

Mummy thinks it's a good practice for her.

On/Off

Besides Annabelle likes to press (play) remote controller - any type of controllers la (fan, TV, DVD player...), she also likes to press on/off button of DVD player now... 2 weeks ago, daddy taught her how to open/close button of the DVD player, now every night when she comes back from yea-mar house, she sure would like to play with the button. Last 2 nites, she also tries to put on a DVD into the drive.

May be she will on/off her favourite movie later.

One of her favourite activities: -
Open cabinet drawer, take all the CDs/DVDs out... take a look the disks 1 by 1... she likes Garfield or little Alvin disk, she always takes them to daddy/mummy, ask us to switch on for her. Daddy/mummy ask her" Pls put all the CDs back first & sit down there". She would happy to do it.

Drink milk

Annabelle would like to hold her milk bottle herself, we dont need to hold it for her...

Animals

Cat, Dog, Lion, Tiger, Elephant, Duck, Chicken, Rabbit, Horse, Cow, Pig, Butterfly, Owl, Giraffe, Zebra, Monkey, Polar Bear, Seal, Penguins, Shark, Octopus, Parrot, Bear, Camel... Annabelle knew all of them quite sometime ago (when she was 8 month-old?? We bought her an animal book). Mummy didnt introduce many new animals to her, last week, mummy asked "Where's ladybird?", "Where's lizard?", she picked up the ladybird & later with lizard flash card & passed to mummy, wow! Out of surprised! Now Annabelle can recognise most of the animals picture/flash cards... Good one!

I think this is the time we should give more knowledge to her as she will be absorbing easily at this time.

Ice cream

Annabelle eats some ice-cream... initially she doesnt like it, may be it's too cool for her, she shaked her head... but after that, she quite like it.

(P/S: Annabelle got mosquitoes bite on her left eye)

Last night, Annabelle was drinking milk, almost left with 2oz, she didnt want to drink anymore... we tried to switch on Barney cartoon, tried to give toys... also no use. "Ok, mummy is angry" mummy told her. Mummy pretended not to talk to her, also showed an angry face to her. Then she was upset, cried on the floor, later came to sayang mummy... So mummy told her to drink milk, then she continued to drink. So cute! Hahaha...

When she goes to bed, before she falls to sleep, sure she would like to give her little hands, let mummy touch her & say "Ok, good girl, sayang sayang, you go oink oink la". Then she falls to sleep. If not, she will "teh teh" cry... Hahaha...
